SOUTHERN DISTRICTS JUNIOR BASKETBALL LEAGUE
What is the SDJBL?
Basketball is an international sport involving people with varying levels of skill and abilities and because of this it is one of the highest participant sports in Australia. It caters for all ages, genders, cultures, economic status and playing capabilities. The Southern Districts Junior Basketball League is a local competition for junior basketballers in the southern suburbs and country areas south of Adelaide. The purpose is to provide a competition that is accessible without overburdening families with the time and financial commitments of the District basketball system. The focus will be providing players, referees and coaches the opportunity to learn and enjoy basketball without the intense pressure of District basketball.
Purpose for the creation of the SDJBL
It has been identified by South Adelaide and Southern Tigers Basketball Clubs that there exists a gap between the District and School Miniball competitions which creates a road block for children to continue to participate in the sport.
Domestic Summer 2019/20 and Winter 2020 Fees will be $160 per player.
Uniforms / Playing Numbers:
Once the player has registered and received confirmation that they have been placed in a team, the player will need to be issued with a STBA players number. STBA Domestic player numbers are issued by the office please email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone (08) 8326 7717
NOTE: Player numbers DO NOT transfer between Domestic & District. If you are a Domestic player going into the District competition please be aware you maybe up for a new playing number if there is already the same number in the District side. Occasionally, we may be able to issue you with the same number, however, it is not guaranteed. The longest-serving person in District will keep their number first.
NOTE: If you intend on purchasing a second-hand uniform you must first check with the above listed to determine whether or not the player number is available. If it is available, your number will be registered on our system. If you obtain a second-hand top and do not register the number, you will be expected to change numbers (buy a new top) in the event of a clash with an existing player or any future player.
For further information and enquiries regarding the domestic competition, please contact Jesse Pence - email@example.com
