Tiger Cubs Programs

Southern Tigers have launched their very own development programs available in various Southern areas to help accommodate all families.

Tiger Cubs is best suited for children born in 2013 or later.

Tigers Domestic Development Academy is suited for children born 2009-2012. 

The Domestic Academy is aimed for members who are new to basketball and wanting to develop their skills. Current Domestic and District Division 4 and below players are welcome.

Southern Tigers hope to provide an environment where children of all abilities can achieve on the court and reap the rewards of skill development, enhanced self-esteem, social co-operation and grassroots sports participation.

Put simply, the Tiger Cubs program introduces children to basketball in a structured and accredited environment that connects our game at the grassroots through to the elite level within our club.

We are excited to announce that not only will sessions be run out of Morphett Vale, but also Aldinga Recreation Centre, Seaford Recreation Centre and Woodcroft Primary School.

 

Our sessions times for Term 3, starting in week 2 TIGER CUBS are:

🏀Monday's Aldinga Rec Centre 👉 4pm - 5pm

🏀Wednesday’s Seaford Rec Centre 👉 4pm - 5pm

🏀Thursday Morphett Vale Basketball Stadium 👉 4pm - 5pm

🏀Saturday Woodcroft Primary School Girls Only 👉 10am -11am

🏀Saturday Woodcroft Primary School 👉 11am - 12pm

Session times for Term 3, starting in week 2, DOMESTIC ACADEMY are:

🏀Wednesday’s Seaford Rec Centre 👉 5pm - 6pm

What is the Sports Vouchers program?

The Sports Vouchers program is a Government of South Australia initiative administered by the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing. The program provides an opportunity for primary school-aged children from Reception to Year 9 to receive up to a $100 discount on membership/registration fees. Who is eligible for the program?

All South Australian children in Reception to Year 9 are eligible from 1 January 2022. This means if a child is 5 (or becoming 5 in the calendar year) to 15 years old are eligible. Remember it is one voucher for each eligible child per calendar year. To find your nearest provider please use the ‘Find a Provider’ tool.
