Girls Domestic Basketball at Southern Tigers Basketball Association

Southern Tigers provides a fun, supportive and structured domestic competition where girls can build confidence, develop skills, and love the game whether they’re brand new or already experienced.

Why Girls Should Play Domestic at Southern Tigers

Playing domestic with Southern Tigers gives girls more than just Saturday games. It’s an environment built around:

The Pathway: Domestic → Junior District

Southern Tigers Domestic is directly linked to our Junior District Program. For girls who want to take the next step, domestic is the starting point to progress into:

  • JDL (Junior District League)

  • YDL (Youth District League)

 

Our coaches and staff actively support girls who are ready to develop toward district basketball.

 

​Dedicated Female Participation Support

Southern Tigers has a dedicated Female Participation Coordinator focused on growing girls basketball within our club. This role helps to:

  • Drive female-focused programs and participation opportunities

  • Secure funding and grants to support girls initiatives

  • Create an environment where girls feel welcomed, supported and valued​

Skills & Development Opportunities for Girls

We provide multiple development opportunities to help girls improve and enjoy basketball, including:

  • Skills sessions

  • Development programs

  • Clinics and holiday camps

  • Extra training and growth opportunities throughout the season

Our focus is simple: help girls get better, feel more confident, and stay in the sport.

 

Who It’s For

Girls Domestic is open to players of all experience levels, including:

  • First-time players

  • Social players - Girls who just want to play basketball with friends

  • Players wanting to develop toward district

  • Players joining with friends or as individuals

 

How to Register

Expressions of Interest are currently open for the 2026 Winter Season.

By submitting your EOI, you’ll receive season updates and be invited to attend our Sunday afternoon skills sessions.

Step 3: Select Season Registration
Step 4: Choose Expression of Interest – Winter 2026
Step 5: Submit all done!
