Brandon Gillespie Re-Signs with the Southern Tigers NBL1 Men’s Program

The Southern Tigers Basketball Association is proud to announce the re-signing of Brandon Gillespie to our NBL1 Men’s team for the upcoming season.

A true Southern Tigers junior pathway graduate, Brandon’s journey through our program from local domestic competitions to the elite NBL1 Central level showcases the strength and success of our club’s development model.

From Junior Courts to NBL1

Brandon has represented the Tigers since his earliest junior seasons, consistently demonstrating dedication, leadership, and a strong work ethic. His rise through the junior ranks and progression into senior basketball has been built on years of commitment to both personal development and the team-first culture that defines our club.

Having already spent several seasons within the Southern Tigers NBL1 Men’s program, Brandon has become a valuable member of the squad. Known for his composure, defensive presence, and ability to make an impact on both ends of the floor, his return adds depth and energy to the roster.

Brandon on His Return

Reflecting on his re-signing, Brandon said:

“I’m thrilled to return and play for the club where it all began. It’s awesome to be back and continue building on the foundation we created together.”

His connection to the club and pride in wearing the Tigers uniform shines through embodying the spirit of players who grow through our pathway and continue to give back at the highest level.

A Coach’s Perspective

NBL1 Men’s Head Coach Ing Lau shared his excitement about Brandon’s return:

“Brandon represents everything we value as a program development, loyalty, and team-first effort. We’re excited to see him take another step forward this season.”

Continuing the Tigers Legacy

The Southern Tigers are proud to see another homegrown athlete remain part of the NBL1 program, further strengthening the link between our junior and senior pathways. Brandon’s story stands as a great example of how hard work, commitment, and community support can lead to success at the elite level.

We can’t wait to see Brandon back on the floor in the orange and black continuing to inspire the next generation of Southern Tigers athletes.
